The violence and devastation of the genocide in Uganda greatly upsets me. This article taps into my qualities of compassion and concern for strangers. I would like to join the Peace Corps someday and perhaps even go to Uganda. Stories like these, about the problems in the world greatly affect me. I feel like since I was lucky enough to be born into a privelidged situation, I should help others like the helpless people in the violence ravaged Uganda. I have had so many opportunities and the priviledge of being born in the country I was and I feel it would only be right to go somewhere and try and give a less lucky people the same chance.
